Whirlwind Cattail

The Cattail Golf Course opened in the fall of 2002 and compliments the Devil's Claw but lends a whole new flavor to championship golf at Whirlwind. While the Devil's Claw features high mounding and significant fairway elevation changes, its sister golf course, the Cattail derives its design challenges in the opposite direction, as deep canyons and pristine lakes dictate the design. This golf course hosted the Nationwide Gila River Classic, a PGA Tour Event in the years 2003 and 2004.
