Cactus League Headlines MLB Spring Line Up

The sun is shining in Phoenix and right now the boys of summer are gearing up for the baseball season in spring training. Arizona is one of the few places in the country where avid baseball fans can catch a glimpse of all the star performers of 2007 and the up-and-coming stars of 2008.

Arizona annually hosts some of the best teams from Major League Baseball in the Cactus League. First started in 1946 the Cactus League has drawn thousands of fans to this desert paradise. Teams such as Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers spend their springs in the Arizona desert. Twelve different MLB teams train in 9 different cities around Arizona each year, with most of the action near the hub of Phoenix.

If you are a baseball fan this is the place to be during the spring. From now until March 27th there will be games held at various stadiums around the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. For a complete schedule of events check out their website at www.cactusleague.com.

While you are in the area take the time to enjoy the great weather and golf course conditions at some of the world-class resorts in the area. This would be a great opportunity to play the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course that recently hosted a PGA Tour event.
