UGA vs ASU is a Great Excuse to Golf

Looking for that excuse to get to Scottsdale or Phoenix to play golf? Look no further!

On September 20, 2008 at approximately 5pm, two of college football's finest programs will square off for a collision you will not soon forget! The Georgia Bulldogs (pre-season #1 in some polls) are visiting the Arizona State Sun Devils. This game packs a special meaning to the SEC as the last three early season visits to the PAC-10 have all had the same result; a mark in the "L" column. Though the SEC leads head-to-head match-ups all-time (59-37-5) over the last 10 years the PAC-10 leads (9-6); a stat that The University of Georgia (vs. ASU) and The University of Tennessee (vs. UCLA) look to make a little closer early this season.

Here is a suggestion on how to make your football weekend great (other than your team winning by 20). Three of the best courses in the area are Sunridge Canyon Golf Club, Grayhawk Golf Club, and TPC - Champions Course (the local secret). Suggestions for hotels are Hotel Scottsdale, Summerfield Suites or Embassy Suites Paradise Valley all of which include breakfast. Golf Packages start at $749 for a 3 night / 3 round trip. Make your plans now to come out a couple of days early and play some of the unbelievable golf courses in Scottsdale and enjoy all of what Southern Arizona has to offer.
